About Us

Co-owners Elisabetta Terli and Federica Orazi fell in love with fashion at an early age, understanding it as an artful form of expression. Initially the duo created suits as a hobby – a pastime that not only garnered appreciation from fashion critics but led them to a consultation role at the woollen mill Linea Piu. It was this association that inspired the name Dolci Trame – which translates to ‘Sweet Wefts’ – and the boutique was born. Positioned amid the idyllic surrounds of Siena, Tuscany, the boutique injects an unexpected dose of chic modernity into an historic and picturesque locale. A paired-back interior and rough brick walls present urbane surroundings for the exciting brands that the boutique carries. Evolving since its inception in 1988, the boutique has carried many directional designers from Dries Van Noten and Isabel Marrant to Ann Demeulemeester and Maison Martin Margiela.
